Job description
About ProMedix
ProMedix Health is a virtual care platform delivering RPM and CCM programs to patients through partnerships with primary care physicians, IPAs, and health systems. We combine clinical staffing, operational infrastructure, and proprietary technology to enable continuous care management outside traditional office visits. We are in an active growth phase and building a healthcare data and AI platform designed to identify early indicators of disease progression and acute health events.
The Role
The Director of Clinical Operations owns the operational and compliance infrastructure of ProMedix’s care management programs. You will manage the nursing and care management teams, enforce CMS documentation standards, build the SOPs that make the operation scalable, and ensure every patient encounter supports both clinical quality and compliant billing. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations.
The right candidate is a clinically credentialed RN who has grown into operations and management, is fluent in CMS requirements for RPM and CCM, and is energized by building clinical systems in a fast-growing company. Bedside clinicians without operations experience and administrators without clinical credentials are equally not the right fit - we need both.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance
Manage nursing staff and care coordinators: supervision, performance accountability, coaching, and development
Set and monitor productivity standards: panel capacity, documentation completion, patient engagement, and alert response times
Recruit and onboard clinical staff as the team scales; build training and onboarding programs
CMS Compliance & Documentation
Own CMS compliance across all CCM and RPM programs - documentation standards, billing alignment, and audit readiness at all times
Conduct regular internal audits; identify deficiencies, implement corrections, and track remediation to closure
Train clinical teams on documentation expectations that support medical necessity and produce defensible records
Work with billing and revenue cycle partners to ensure documentation consistently supports billed services
Clinical Workflows, SOPs & Credentialing
Build and maintain SOPs for all clinical workflows: onboarding, monitoring, care plan development, escalation, and disenrollment
Ensure workflows are consistent, scalable, and compliant across all physician partners
Manage the enrollment-to-clinical handoff and resolve workflow bottlenecks before they affect outcomes or billing
Ensure licensure and credentialing requirements remain current for all clinical staff
Performance Reporting
Monitor key indicators: nurse productivity, patient engagement, monitoring activity, care management time, alert response times, and patient retention
Provide leadership with clear, regular visibility into clinical program performance
Required Background
You must have:
Active RN license in California, in good standing - BSN required
5+ years of clinical operations or care management leadership experience
Working knowledge of CMS requirements for CCM and RPM - compliant, billable, and audit-ready documentation
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a clinical team
Experience building clinical documentation standards, SOPs, and workflows in a compliance-sensitive environment
Familiarity with EHR systems in a care management context
Comfort operating in a build-phase environment where processes are actively evolving
Useful but not required:
MSN or advanced clinical or healthcare administration degree
Experience with Medicare Advantage, value-based care, or telehealth environments
Prior involvement in CMS audit preparation or formal compliance program management
You’ll Fit Here If
You consider clinical credibility and operational discipline equally part of your professional identity
Documentation quality is a standard you hold without being asked
You’re energized by building systems, not just running them
You can hold a team accountable while doing the coaching work that prevents the same miss next month
You want to build something meaningful in chronic care - not inherit a legacy program and maintain it
Compensation & Benefits
$120,000 - $165,000 annually (California Pay Transparency Act, SB 1162)
Performance-based bonus
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Life insurance
