Job Title: Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to join our team. The Director of EHS will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Develop and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and procedures
Manage the EHS budget and ensure that all expenditures are within budgetary constraints
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that EHS policies and procedures are integrated into all aspects of the organization
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities
Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and standards and ensure that the organization is in compliance
Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents
Manage a team of EHS professionals and provide guidance and support as needed Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience managing a team of EHS professionals
Professional certification in EHS (e.g. CSP, CIH) is preferred
