Duties and Responsibilities

Clinic Operations & Performance: Lead all day-to-day and long-term operations of the Faculty Practice Clinic

Identify and remove bottlenecks in scheduling, patient flow, and provider utilization

Drive measurable improvements in clinic productivity, access, and patient satisfaction

Financial Management: Own the clinic’s operating budget, revenue cycle performance, and financial outcomes; Oversee billing, collections, and payer mix optimization; Identify and implement strategies to improve revenue and cost efficiency

Provider & Staff Leadership: Supervise administrative and clinical support staff, including hiring, performance management, and development; Partner with faculty providers to optimize schedules, productivity, and patient access; Address underperformance directly and constructively

Growth & Market Positioning: Develop and execute strategies to grow the patient base and expand services; Partner with school leadership on branding, outreach, and referral development; Position the Faculty Practice as a high-quality, patient-centered clinical destination

Patient Experience & Quality: Oversee all patient-facing operations, including financial consultations and service recovery; Ensure consistent, high-quality patient experience aligned with institutional standards; Maintain accountability for operational aspects of care quality and service delivery

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field

Progressive experience in healthcare or dental practice operations

3+ years in a leadership role with staff supervision and operational accountability

Demonstrated experience managing budgets, revenue cycle, and clinic performance

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Master's degree in MBA, MHA or equivalent

Experience in a dental or multi-specialty clinical environment

Experience in an academic health setting

Strong track record of improving operational and financial performance
