Job description
Were hiring a Director of Laboratory to lead laboratory operations and diagnostic services in Ottumwa, Iowa . This senior leadership role oversees clinical quality, operational performance, and regulatory compliance within a hospital or reference laboratory environment. The position is well‑suited for a laboratory professional with strong decision‑making skills who thrives in complex, high‑responsibility settings.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific discipline
Minimum education requirement: BA or BS in Medical Technology or science‑based field
Hospital or reference laboratory experience preferred
Strong critical thinking , decisive judgment , and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively in a high‑stress clinical environment and take appropriate action
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree (MBA or MA/MS in a scientific discipline)
Previous experience serving as a Laboratory Director or in a senior laboratory leadership role
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
