Job description
Director of Laboratory Services, MT(ASCP), Tx.
Full‑time position at a general acute‑care facility in mid‑Texas.
Responsibilities
Manage laboratory staff, FTEs, hiring, firing, and staffing plans.
Oversee laboratory budgeting, financial performance, and resource allocation.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Collaborate with hospital leadership, department directors, and physicians to maintain high standards of quality and service.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for laboratory operations.
Qualifications
BS degree.
MT(ASCP) certification.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director of Hospital Laboratory in a 100‑plus bed facility.
Demonstrated accomplishments and results as a team leader and director.
Strong regulatory knowledge and experience with laboratory accreditation and state health regulations.
