Job description
Manufacturing Director | Michigan (Onsite)
We're seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Director to lead operations for a well-established manufacturing facility with approximately 100 employees. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving production performance, operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
Manage production scheduling, workflow planning, and resource allocation.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks while improving throughput and reducing waste.
Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production challenges and enhance processes.
Develop, mentor, and lead managers and supervisors.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, workforce planning, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a senior operations leadership role.
Experience leading facilities with 75-100+ employees and managing operations within a $30M-$50M+ manufacturing environment.
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement.
Experience in electronics, custom manufacturing, industrial products, signage, or related industries preferred.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing business processes.
Schedule
Occasional overtime or weekend support as needed
