As a Director of Nursing DON, you will have the opportunity to lead our nursing team in providing the highest level of care to our residents, with a focus on enhancing their health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
About the Role:
As a Director of Nursing DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care and services. Your primary focus will be on strategic planning, staff management, and patient care, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. You will work closely with our medical director, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the nursing team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care in collaboration with the medical director and other stakeholders
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, making recommendations for improvements as needed
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements
Collaborate with other departments, including rehabilitation, social services, and dietary, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
Provide education and training to nursing staff, as needed, to ensure proficiency in patient care skills and knowledge
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or related field)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a skilled nursing setting
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, residents, and family members
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility
