Director of Nursing (DON) - Poughkeepsie, New York
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley is seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team! As a DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing operations of our facility, including resident care, regulatory compliance, staffing, and clinical services. As a DON, you will be part of a team that prioritizes patient-centered care and commits to excellence in every aspect of our services.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on best clinical practices to the clinical leadership team
Collaborate with regional and local clinical staff to establish quarterly and annual performance improvement goals and write quarterly QAPI plans
Support and facilitate company values, practice standards, and ethics policies and procedures
Conduct routine mock surveys and survey preparation to ensure compliance
Act as mentor and coach for ADON and Unit Managers to ensure success at the facility
Manage costs, ensure compliance with policies/procedures, and uphold State/Federal regulations and current standards of practice
Requirements:
Current New York State RN license required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in long-term care nursing management role
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes
Ability to educate and train staff on State and Federal regulations
Complete knowledge and understanding of the functions of a long-term care facility
Excellent Communication Skills required
Evidence of advanced leadership skills and supervision
Microsoft Office proficiency
We Offer:
Premium compensation package based on experience: $130,000 - $160,000 ANNUALLY
