Director of Nursing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team at Avir at Post in Post, TX. As a key leader in our organization, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
Oversee the coordination of patient care services, including medication administration, wound care, and discharge planning
Foster a culture of open communication, respect, and teamwork among nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Collaborate with other departments, such as Radiology, Rehabilitation, and Social Services, to ensure seamless coordination of care
Recruit, retain, and develop a talented and dedicated nursing staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and industry standards
Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of (insert years of experience ) years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or post-acute setting
Strong knowledge of nursing practice, including wound care, medication administration, and patient education
Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in staff development and performance improvement
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas
