The Director of Patient Financial Services will lead a collaborative patient financial services and revenue cycle department within a community hospital with a small-town feel , offering the visibility and autonomy to make a measurable difference. In this environment, leaders have leadership ownership of departmental strategy, team development, financial outcomes, compliance, and service excellence. The department supports accurate billing, collections, denials management, reimbursement, financial counseling, payer relations, revenue integrity, and patient-friendly financial communications.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Revenue Cycle, the Director of Patient Financial Services will receive executive support while guiding daily operations, establishing performance goals, monitoring key revenue cycle metrics, strengthening cash flow, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements. This leader will partner with friendly nurses, physicians, finance professionals, registration teams, case management, information technology, and a diverse healthcare professional team to resolve barriers, optimize processes, coach staff, and create a respectful culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
