Job description
Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services (PIC)
Location: West Plains, MO Area
Assignment Details
Start: July 2026
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
Training: Two weeks of onsite training prior to coverage
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Requirements
Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing
Medication Therapy Services Certification required
Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Leadership or management experience preferred
Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred
Responsibilities
Serve as Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations and staff
Create and manage pharmacist and technician schedules
Collaborate with pharmacy purchasing staff to address medication supply issues
Lead Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings and implement approved initiatives
Attend medical staff committee meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Facilitate department meetings and daily pharmacy huddles
Manage controlled substance ordering processes
Oversee payroll and user access for pharmacy automation systems
Support pharmacy operations and staffing needs as required
