Job description
What the role actually is
Apptronik is hiring a software product leader for its Apollo humanoid platform. The role owns product management across on-robot and off-robot software, including autonomy, simulation, platform software, cloud tools, and fleet management.
It is a head‑of‑product style role: build the PM team, set roadmap discipline, connect customer needs to engineering and research work, and keep software decisions tied to deployment and field operation.
What you would work on
Build and lead the software product management team
Own the software product vision and roadmap across autonomy, simulation, platforms, and cloud tools
Define commercial software strategy, including packaging, pricing enablement, and recurring‑revenue features
Partner with UX leadership on fleet management tools for enterprise operators
Set evaluation, field‑testing, and release‑readiness criteria for deployed software
Align data collection strategy with machine learning and AI teams
What they are asking for
Experience building and leading product management teams
Software product fluency from research and definition through deployment and field operation
Background with autonomous robots, autonomous vehicles, or similarly complex software systems
Working understanding of autonomy, AI, perception, navigation, simulation, platforms, middleware, and edge deployment
Experience with cloud software products and cloud‑to‑edge fleet architectures
Ability to translate technical tradeoffs into business and executive decisions
Why this one is worth a look
This is one of the cleaner humanoid product leadership roles on the market because it sits where robot capability, operator UX, software deployment, and commercial packaging meet. The caveat is that it is senior and broad; the person in this seat will need to make product calls across research, field reliability, and customer‑facing tools rather than manage a single narrow surface.
