Director of Real Estate Development & Construction
Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Director of Real Estate Development & Construction for a local company. This is an opportunity for a driven professional with experience in real estate development, commercial construction, acquisitions, or related fields to identify new opportunities and help move projects from concept through completion.
What You'll Do:
* Identify and evaluate new real estate development and investment opportunities.
* Build relationships with property owners, brokers, municipalities, investors, business leaders, and community partners.
* Evaluate project feasibility, including financial analysis, market conditions, due diligence, and development costs.
* Lead predevelopment activities, including site evaluation, zoning, entitlements, financing, and project planning.
* Prepare financial models and investment recommendations for company leadership.
* Negotiate transactions and coordinate with internal and external project partners.
* Work closely with leadership and construction teams throughout the development process.
* Help identify and pursue opportunities that support the company's continued growth.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, acquisitions, brokerage, finance, construction, or business development.
* Experience sourcing and advancing real estate opportunities.
* Strong financial analysis, underwriting, and project evaluation skills.
* Knowledge of land acquisition, zoning, entitlements, financing, and the development process.
* Strong communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-directed and entrepreneurial approach with the ability to identify opportunities and move projects forward.
