Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – COTA, OT, or PTA

$75,000–$100,000/year
Macomb Post Acute Care Center is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department. We are looking for a rehabilitation professional licensed as a COTA, Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who combines strong clinical knowledge with a collaborative leadership style.
This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys developing therapy teams, supporting quality resident outcomes, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a skilled nursing rehabilitation program.
What You'll Do
Lead and support the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
Oversee therapy scheduling, staffing, workflow, and caseload management
Mentor and support PT, OT, SLP, PTA, and COTA team members
Monitor clinical documentation, productivity, and quality standards
Promote strong communication between therapy, nursing, and facility leadership
Support regulatory compliance and department performance
Help create a positive environment focused on resident progress and quality care

Qualifications
Active Illinois license as a COTA, Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required
Previous skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
Ability to effectively manage department operations while maintaining a resident-centered approach
