Pay or shift range: $104,000 USD to $110,240 USD

nTaconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Hopewell is looking to add a Director of Rehabilitation to its leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee all rehabilitation services, lead therapy staff, monitor department performance, and ensure exceptional resident outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence. nRESPONSIBILITIES:

nnnDirect and oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department

n

nnSupervise, mentor, and support therapy staff while ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance

n

nnMonitor productivity, utilization, budgets, billing accuracy, and department performance metrics

n

nnPerform evaluations and treatments as needed to support department operations

n

nnCoordinate rehabilitation services with nursing, physicians, administration, and interdisciplinary teams

n

nnEnsure accurate documentation, care planning, billing, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements

n

nnConduct staff orientation, training, continuing education, and competency development

n

nnParticipate in care conferences, discharge planning, admissions, QAPI, marketing, and department leadership meetings

n

nnMonitor therapy equipment, supplies, and department resources

n

nnSupport resident and family education regarding therapy services and rehabilitation goals

n

nnMaintain department records, reports, and performance improvement initiatives

n

nnPerform additional duties as assigned

n

n nREQUIREMENTS:

nnnGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy program

n

nnValid New York State Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy License required

n

nnMinimum 3-5 years of therapy experience, including experience working with geriatric populations

n

nnSkilled nursing facility experience preferred

n

nnPrevious management or leadership experience highly desirable

n

nnStrong knowledge of rehabilitation services, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, documentation standards, and long-term care operations

n

nnExcellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

n

nnAbility to effectively lead a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team

n
