As a Director of Social Services at Oak Hill Manor, you will have the opportunity to lead our dedicated team of social workers, therapists, and caregivers in providing exceptional care to our Residents. About the Role
As the Director of Social Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the social services department, which includes social workers, therapists, and caregivers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our Residents receive the emotional, psychological, and social support they need to thrive. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing programs to promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being among our Residents.
Responsibilities
Oversee the social services department, including social workers, therapists, and caregivers
Develop and implement programs to promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being among Residents
Conduct social assessments and develop individualized care plans for Residents
Collaborate with other departments, such as medical and nursing, to ensure comprehensive care
Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure quality care and service
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
