Job description
CMK Resources is hiring a Director of Storage and Backup Engineering for a large global data-storage and technology company undergoing significant infrastructure growth and modernization.
This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operation of enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and data-protection environments. The ideal candidate will combine leadership experience with deep technical knowledge of Dell enterprise storage and Rubrik.

4 days a week onsite, 1 day remote
Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operation of enterprise storage, backup, and data-protection environments.
Provide technical leadership for Dell SAN, NAS, block, and file-storage platforms.
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
Develop strategies for capacity, performance, data retention, disaster recovery, ransomware resilience, and infrastructure modernization.
Lead storage and backup engineering teams and establish architecture standards, operating procedures, and technical roadmaps.
Drive migrations and modernization efforts involving legacy storage and backup platforms.
Design solutions supporting high availability, immutable backups, disaster recovery, and rapid restoration.
Establish metrics covering storage capacity, availability, backup success, recovery performance, and operational health.
Lead root-cause analysis for complex storage and backup incidents.
Manage strategic vendor relationships, technology investments, licensing, and capacity planning.
Communicate technical strategy, risks, roadmaps, and investment recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage, backup, or data-protection engineering.
5+ years in infrastructure leadership, management, architecture, or engineering leadership.
Strong enterprise experience with Dell storage technologies.
Hands-on and architectural experience with Rubrik.
Deep knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery architecture.
Experience designing disaster-recovery and business-continuity solutions.
Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, replication, capacity planning, and storage performance.
Experience leading technical teams and large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Dell PowerStore, PowerMax, PowerScale/Isilon, or Unity experience.
Rubrik Security Cloud experience.
VMware and enterprise virtualization experience.
AWS, Azure, or GCP storage and backup experience.Ransomware recovery and cyber-resiliency program experience.
Infrastructure automation or infrastructure-as-code experience.
