Job description
This is a senior, client-facing planning leadership role for a firm serving families with wealth spanning multiple entities, generations, and states. The Director owns the strategy and execution of the firm's family office planning deliverables — defining what the team produces, how it's produced, and how it improves over time — while managing a team and setting the standard for planning quality across the practice.

Client Estate & Tax Planning — Lead plan design and implementation for UHNW clients across trusts, family entities, charitable structures, and wealth transfer strategies. Serve as primary planning contact for a defined client book; coordinate with outside estate counsel, CPAs, and institutional trustees.
Integrated Tax Strategy — Combine income and estate tax planning in one coordinated approach; advise on entity structures, business succession, liquidity events, and gifting programs; align tax strategy with the investment team's portfolio decisions.
Family Office Deliverables — Own strategy and continuous improvement of the firm's family office offering; build frameworks/templates for consistent execution; identify capability gaps and help expand the offering as the client base grows.
Team Leadership — Manage and develop junior planning staff; set standards for how deliverables are prepared, reviewed, and communicated; contribute to methodology, process, and technology; participate in business development and onboarding.
Cross-Functional Coordination — Partner with advisors, compliance, and operations for a connected client experience; contribute to annual reviews, family meetings, and generational transition work.
