We are seeking an exceptional Director - Product Management to lead the strategic vision and execution of our enterprise file system product portfolio. Reporting to the Sr. Director - Product Management, this leader is responsible for defining and driving market positioning, roadmap execution, competitive differentiation, and revenue targets across all deployment models (on-premises, edge, cloud) while leading a world-class product team.

The Opportunity

This is your opportunity to shape the product strategy for one of the most critical infrastructure domains in the technology industry. You’ll own the entire product vision for our enterprise file system portfolio—from market positioning and competitive strategy to roadmap execution and P&L accountability.

This role combines strategic product leadership, technical depth, and business acumen.

You will:

Build repeatable, disciplined product discovery and validation processes that ground strategy in customer needs

Drive market positioning and go-to-market execution that establishes DataCore as the category leader in enterprise file systems

Own P&L accountability for the file system product line—managing revenue targets, portfolio investment, and strategic priorities

Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing product management organization aligned around clear customer and business outcomes

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a visionary product leader who combines deep technical expertise, demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, and proven success driving enterprise infrastructure products to market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Product Leadership & Vision

Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for the enterprise file system portfolio, driving revenue growth and market leadership

Establish market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that resonate with C-suite and technical stakeholders

Conduct rigorous competitive and market analysis to identify white-space opportunities and emerging customer needs

Partner with Sales and CMO to develop segment-specific go-to-market strategies

Drive innovation roadmaps that balance near-term revenue impact with long-term strategic advantage

Own end-to-end P&L accountability for the file system product line, including revenue targets and investment decisions

Manage the product portfolio lifecycle—from ideation and launch through growth and optimization to end-of-life

Develop compelling business cases for new initiatives with clear metrics for success

Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and performance metrics to executive leadership and board stakeholders

Lead cross-functional partnerships with Engineering, Sales, CMO, and Finance to align on business priorities

3. Technical Product Strategy & Architecture

Drive technical product strategy with deep knowledge of file system architecture, distributed storage systems, and HPC requirements

Partner with VP of Engineering to define technical requirements, establish performance benchmarks, and ensure enterprise-grade reliability

Lead data orchestration and migration capabilities development to enable seamless data movement across heterogeneous environments

Establish product roadmap for optimizing performance, scalability, availability, and security across Linux, virtualized, and cloud-native deployments

Build and mentor a high-performing product management team, establishing a culture of customer-centricity and operational excellence

Define product management standards, processes, and best practices across discovery, validation, and launch execution

Develop deep customer insight through direct engagement with key accounts, advisory boards, and user communities

Drive customer-centric initiatives including: Voice of Customer (VoC) programs that identify evolving needs and drive retention

Win-loss analysis and competitive positioning

Thought leadership and industry engagement on enterprise storage trends

Advisory board management and customer success partnerships

Segment-specific positioning and engagement strategies

Establish measurable success metrics tied to customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion revenue

Continuously improve product strategy and execution based on customer feedback and market dynamics

Required Qualifications

12+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a director-level or equivalent leadership role
