How you'll contribute as a Director

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare principles and practices.

Excellent critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to lead and motivate others.

Strong self-initiative and interpersonal communication skills.

Fluency in the compliance and regulatory standards governing health plans and patient care.

Proficiency with computers and a talent for research and data analysis.

Previous experience in Case Management required and customer service field preferred.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have:

License: a current state RN license or a compact license with Utah endorsement

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days

Education: Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) from an accredited nursing school.
