nResponsibilities
nThe Director of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24 hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within medical/surgical/telemetry unit(s). Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Assumes 24 hour accountability for the departments. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit and is directly accountable to the CNO or Administrator. Consults and communicates with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Assumes house supervisory responsibilities as assigned, including responding to codes throughout the hospital, assessing and charting, and following through with appropriate documentation. Oversees the provision of patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult patients.
nQualifications
nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
nn1. Current and valid state registered nurse license.
n2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
n3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
n4. Tele RN (PCCN) or (CCRN) or Medical Surgical Certified (ANCC) certificate(s) upon hire, preferred.
n5. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
n6. Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting preferred.
n7. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. MSN preferred.

nChino Valley Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $115,044.80 to $172,244.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
