Hourly Range: $18.00-$20.00

Pick & Cheese is the world's first cheese conveyor belt restaurant. It is a fun, modern twist on British dining that invites guests to explore and discover incredible British cheeses paired with hand-picked wines and small plates. Now proudly part of Shaver Food Hall, a one-of-a-kind culinary destination where New York's creativity meets global flavors, we're looking for passionate, energetic, and hospitality-driven individuals to join our opening team.
While Pick & Cheese is a concept that originated in the UK, our U.S. concept focuses on showcasing American- made cheeses and introducing our guest to the incredible variety of cheese being produced across the country.
THE ROLE
As part of our dishwashing team, you'll be the backbone of the kitchen, keeping Pick & Cheese running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll make sure every plate, glass, and tool is spotless and ready when the team needs it, and that the back of house stays clean, organized, and safe. Our dishwashers are dependable, efficient, and quick to jump in wherever the kitchen needs support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, glassware, cutlery, cookware, and conveyor plates quickly and correctly.
Operate and maintain dish machines, and monitor water temperature and chemical levels to meet sanitation standards.
Keep dish stations, prep areas, floors, and storage spaces clean and organized throughout service.
Make sure the kitchen and service teams have a steady supply of clean wares during peak periods.
Handle trash, recycling, and compost removal according to food hall procedures.
Help receive and put away deliveries, and support basic prep when needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling guidelines.
Support opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties to set the team up for success.
Work collaboratively with teammates and tell management about equipment or supply issues.
QUALIFICATIONS Previous dishwashing, kitchen, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to stay efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot and wet conditions, and lift at least 50 lbs.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
