Dispatch Specialist - Weekend Rotational ShiftLogistics at full potential. Weekend Day Shift: Rotating Days (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday. Logistics at full potential. At GXO Logistics, our success depends on our ability to provide the highest level of support and solutions to our customers. As the Dispatch Specialist, you will be responsible for direct, effective and friendly communication with our drivers, and communicating issues both internally and externally. On our team, you'll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of. What you'll do on a typical day:Facilitate professional communication with our drivers over the phone and On Board Computer System (OBCS)Perform essential AS-400 functions to maintain our computer systemsCommunicate issues with our internal and external customersComplete thorough documentation of all issues involving drivers and loadsPerform regular, thorough fleet scans to proactively catch and correct issuesEnsure a high level of on-time service is maintainedWhat you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you'll need:Knowledge of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and U.S. and Canadian geographyFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and AS-400The ability to type 25 words per minuteIt'd be great if you also have:High school diploma or equivalentTransportation and call center/customer service experienceSolid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problemsThe motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to work collaboratively and get along with diverse personalitiesSolid organizational, project and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage customer expectationsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
