We take great pride in our world class customer service, making the finest quality products, and providing customers, tourists and business travelers with a unique, enriching experience not found at any other distillery in the world.In this role, you'll:Lead a high-impact team responsible for managing thousands of barrels of aging whiskeyDevelop leadership skills while working directly with experienced operations leadersSolve real operational challenges and drive process improvementsWork in a historic distillery that blends tradition with modern production systemsBuild a career path in operations leadershipWhat you'll do:Lead the warehouse teamSupervise daily barrel warehouse operations and union personnelFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safetySupport employee development and maintain positive labor relationsKeep operations running smoothlyCoordinate barrel and whiskey movements using inventory and tracking systemsManage inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse logisticsEnsure operations meet production schedules and department goalsChampion safety & qualityLead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with personal safety, food safety, environmental, and quality standardsMaintain the highest standards for whiskey quality and handlingImprove how we workPartner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and operational challengesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and processesLead or support continuous improvement projectsGrow as a leaderWork closely with the Barrel Warehouse Manager to build leadership, operations, and technical skillsGain experience in team management, production operations, and regulatory complianceQualifications/requirementsWhat we're looking for:RequiredBachelor's degreeStrong communication and leadership skillsExcellent organization and planning abilityExperience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvementAbility to work collaboratively with teams across operations and maintenancePreferred3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environmentsExposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement toolsFamiliarity with regulatory standards such as OSHA, FDA, or TTBInterest in building a long-term career in operations leadershipWork environmentOur warehouse operations are active industrial environments. You should be comfortable:Lifting up to 50 lbsWorking 8+ hour shifts with occasional overtimeOperating in loud, humid environments around moving equipmentMaintaining strong attention to detail and quality standardsJoin the legacyAt Buffalo Trace Distillery, every barrel tells a story.
