Distribution Center ExportPart-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU 2:00pm - 8:00pm SUN 9:00am - 4:00pm Up to 28 hours/weekOVERVIEW: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast paced warehouse! Working as a DC Export, you will coordinate and execute the hands-on tasks required for international trade, including product assessment and receipt, quality control, shipment generation and compliance checks. This is an entry level position that will allow you to work closely with multiple internal departments, broadening your knowledge of Fastenal's product fulfillment capabilities.This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Receiving, auditing, inspecting, scanning, packing & shipping product while maintaining traceabilityOperating computer programs & wireless hand held devicesExecuting multiple receiving, inspection, or shipping requests at different stagesCompleting required training within the training periodMaintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areaComplying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectationsParticipating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectivesLearning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainingsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:18 years of age or over, due to the nature of workProficient written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as neededDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Possess experience in inventory management, logistics or operationsPrior experience using basic measuring equipment & inspection toolsPrior experience operating a forkliftABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
