Job Title: Distribution Engineer/Designer
nJob Description
nIn this role, you will provide support for a major power utility client by performing power distribution design work. This position is entirely remote, and fieldwork is not required. Your primary responsibilities will involve utilizing DDS to support power distribution design tasks. Initially, you will focus on design work, with the potential to take on quality control duties after gaining experience.
nResponsibilities
nnnPerform power distribution design work using DDS.
n
nnUtilize Crews, a version of SAP, to complete work orders.
n
nnConduct quality control checks on designs before submission to the client
n
nnCollaborate with a team to support utility energy projects.
n
nnPotentially lead design reviews and client interactions as you gain experience.
n
n nEssential Skills
nnn3+ years of experience using DDS for power distribution design.
n
nnExperience supporting FirstEnergy or any of its subsidiaries.
n
nnAbility to conduct quality control on design submissions.
n
n nAdditional Skills & Qualifications
nnnExperience with utility industry standards and practices.
n
nnKnowledge of additional FirstEnergy companies such as Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company, and others.
n
nnStrong organizational and communication skills.
n

nThis is a Contract position based out of Taylor, MI.
nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
