Job description
TechnicianContributes to the smooth flow of information, communication, educational materials and supplies throughout the district. Assist in receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining inventory control.The essential functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the characteristic duties and responsibilities noted herein, however, this list represents examples only, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions found in this job description.Model KISD core organizational beliefs and values; perform duties effectively and efficiently for the purpose of supporting and contributing to high student achievement.Provide program support and service delivery; communicate effectively within and across teams and participate in cross-functional work groups.Maintain a commitment to the District mission; model District expectations through personal leadership and actively support the efforts of others to achieve District goals.Major Responsibilities and Duties:Receiving and DistributionVerify accuracy of shipments and record any discrepancies or damage.Load and unload delivery trucks as needed. Unpack items and inspect shipments for damage and defects.Fill requisitions from stock items. Verify accuracy of orders pulled.Pickup and deliver materials as needed.InventorySort and store items according to established inventory systems and procedures.Conduct physical inventory of warehoused equipment, tools, and supplies and verify against inventory control totals. Maintain inventory records.Requisition additional supplies from purchasing department as directed.Maintain custody records for items being repaired and temporarily on loan.SafetyFollow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and carrying.
