More than 2,500 team members at more than 70 Tidelands Health locations bring our healing mission to life each day.A Brief Overview The Distribution Technician position is responsible to receive, stock, inventory and deliver supplies from General Stores to Tidelands Health facilities.What you will doReceive and stocked supplies and equipment shipped to the Distribution CenterResponsible for routine and STAT supply and equipment requests and distribution to designated areas.Responsible for proper Inventory Control of General Stores.Accurately record every supply transaction, including verbal (call-ins) or walk-in orders, handwritten or on-line requisitions.Must be able to utilize, load and unload distribution vehicles appropriately.Perform basic maintenance checks (air in tires, oil levels, etc). Takes vehicle to shop for maintenance as required and on schedule.Responsible for obtaining and retaining DOT certification and hospital insurance credibilityEducation QualificationsHigh School Diploma PreferredExperience QualificationsWarehouse or Distribution experience PreferredSatisfactory references from present and/or previous employers RequiredRecord of being able to perform manual labor RequiredSkills and AbilitiesBasic personal computer familiarity required.Communication and strong interpersonal skills required.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills required.Demonstrate ability to safely drive 24-foot box truck per CDL guidelinesMust have valid driver's license and maintain acceptable driving record as outlined by hospital driver policyPhysical Demand Medium-Heavy Physical DemandThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative and level of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a contract for employment nor a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
