Job description
The District Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding a portfolio of wines within their designated territory.
They develop relationships across the three-tier system, training and inspiring distributor personnel and trade accounts to increase brand awareness and sales.
Key duties include conducting brand presentations, event activations, and business reviews; working with distributors to meet sales targets; monitoring inventory levels; and identifying new account opportunities.
They engage in market activities such as sales calls, relationship building, and hosting consumer events like wine festivals and dinners.
Strong business acumen, wine knowledge, and creative problem-solving skills are essential, along with effective communication to manage relationships with management, distributors, and trade partners.
Preferred candidates have at least 5 years of experience in wine sales, a passion for wine, particularly Italian wines, and are willing to travel within the territory and to Italy or headquarters.
Must reside within the territory, have a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 35 lbs, and flexible availability.
