Job description
Role Overview
District Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining a portfolio of wines within their territory. They develop relationships across the three-tier system, training distributor personnel and trade accounts to increase brand awareness and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct brand and wine presentations at General Sales Meetings and organize event activations for relationship building and education.
Assist in programming quarterly brand activities and preparing business reviews to meet sales goals.
Collaborate with distributors to achieve sales targets, monitor inventory levels, and support sales initiatives.
Make sales calls to trade accounts, identify new opportunities, and maintain ongoing relationships.
Host consumer-facing events such as wine festivals and dinners.
Work independently within the market, building relationships and promoting the portfolio.
Qualifications & Skills
Preferably 5 years of experience in the wine industry with a focus on sales.
Passion for wine, with a preference for Italian wines.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and market development skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, travel within the territory, and lift 35 lbs.
Willingness to travel to Italy and corporate headquarters as needed.
