Role Description
The District Manager role at GMET Communications, LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Kokomo, IN. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple retail locations, ensuring each store meets sales targets, delivers excellent customer service, and adheres to company policies and brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and developing store leaders, monitoring performance metrics, conducting regular store visits, and implementing operational improvements. The District Manager will collaborate with leadership on district-level planning, staffing, and training initiatives, while maintaining a strong presence in the stores to support teams and resolve issues. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, frequent communication with store staff, and a focus on driving profitability and growth within the district.
Qualifications
Leadership and team management skills, including experience coaching, mentoring, and developing store managers or supervisors.
Retail operations and sales management skills, such as managing KPIs, driving revenue, and overseeing day-to-day store performance.
Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to create a positive in-store experience and handle escalations professionally.
Organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple locations, and implement effective solutions.
Communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in clear, professional verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
Analytical and reporting skills, including comfort with reviewing data, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights.
Experience in wireless, telecommunications, or related retail industries is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Kokomo, IN, with regular travel to stores within the district.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field is a plus.
Proficiency with basic office and point-of-sale software; willingness to learn internal systems and tools.
