Location:Secaucus, New JerseyJob Summary:The District Manager will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth throughout a geographic region divided into stores. This position will have full accountability for the key financial results of the district and will be responsible for the overall leadership and development of the store management team within the district by building a high-performing team that is dedicated to achieving results and supporting regional and company strategies.Responsibilities:Key Accountabilities:Create and maintain a diverse, high-performing store management team through consistent selection, development, and motivationProvide coaching, mentoring, and overall direction of accountabilities to meet district and regional goalsEffectively communicate business and financial objectivesAnalyze district performance in order to deliver appropriate feedback to regional directorDevelop a district sales strategy that ensures profitable growthLead the store teams to meet sales/payroll budgets through appropriate executionFoster a selling culture throughout the district, ensuring a positive customer experience that meets and exceeds every customer’s expectationArticulate the vision and ensure execution of brand visual standards consistentlyPartner with Loss Prevention to ensure adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures and proactively identify trends that support achieving district and store shrink goalsCultivate an environment of open communication and drive the performance management and development of associates within the districtRepresent the company in a professional and positive mannerEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree preferred5-7 years of multi-unit experience in retail requiredDriver’s license requiredSkills and Behaviors:Must be able to create competitive and innovative strategies and plansProven track record of selecting high-performing talent and ability to develop compelling development plansAbility to articulately and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general publicAbility to understand and interpret moderately complex financial reportsProficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to additional internal applicationsAbility to facilitate and present programs, processes, and concepts to groups of managersBroad knowledge and perspective of retail landscape and can accurately identify trendsMust be able to inspire and motivate entire teams or organizationsWillingness/ability to travelMust reside within or close proximity to their assigned market to ensure appropriate coverage and support with the ability to regularly travel throughout the market as the business requiresDistrict Managers are expected to be active, field-based leaders, partnering with Store Managers Tuesday through Friday while maintaining one office day each week.
