Job Title: Python Django Backend Lead Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ / Charlotte, NC (Remote)
Experience: 10+ years overall, with 5+ years of Django experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Django Backend Lead Developer with strong expertise in Python, Django, Azure Cloud, and backend system architecture. The ideal candidate will lead backend development initiatives, design scalable APIs and microservices, and mentor junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead backend development using Python, Django, and Databricks.
Design and implement scalable, secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
Integrate Azure Cloud services for application deployment and management.
Optimize database performance and manage SQL/NoSQL databases.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in architecture decisions.
Mentor junior developers and support Agile development practices.
Required Skills:
10+ years of backend development experience.
5+ years of hands-on Django experience.
Strong Python programming skills.
Proven experience with Azure Cloud services.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Azure Databricks
Delta Lake and Delta Tables
PySpark
Big data processing experience
