Job description
Doctor- Family Practice/Internal Medicine
The successful candidate for this position will enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a diverse group of administrative and medical professionals. In this role you will focus on:
Administering preventative and corrective care to healthy ill, injured, or disabled patients
Diagnosing and establishing patient treatment plans
Communicating with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Educating patients and parents about health maintenance and disease prevention
Maintaining accurate patient medical records
Providing advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Communicating immunization, blood draw and procedure orders to medical staff
Qualifications include:
A current NYS Medical License
Experience working with EHR systems
The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage deadlines well
Experience establishing and maintaining positive and effective work relationships
A history of participation in clinical and quality improvement projects
A commitment and experience working with underserved and diverse populations
A strong interest in public health
Experience in community center or urban sites preferred
