Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL (100% Onsite)
Duration: 8-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support a large-scale records digitization project. This individual will help organize, scan, track, and maintain physical and electronic documents while ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in document control, records management, scanning operations, project controls, administrative support, or high-volume document processing environments.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in document control, records management, scanning, project coordination, project controls, administrative support, or related fields
Experience organizing, reviewing, and maintaining large volumes of documents and records
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or missing information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience working with electronic filing systems, SharePoint, document repositories, or similar platforms
Comfortable handling physical records, organizing files, and working onsite daily
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, utility, engineering, or project-based environments
Background in scanning, digitization, imaging, records conversion, or document migration projects
Experience with document control procedures, file naming standards, metadata entry, or indexing
Familiarity with quality control reviews and tracking production metrics
Experience working in fast-paced environments with deadlines and high document volumes
Responsibilities
Organize, review, and prepare physical documents for digitization
Scan paper records, large-format documents, and archived files while ensuring image quality and completeness
Maintain accurate tracking logs and document inventories
Apply file naming conventions and organize files within established folder structures
Enter and validate document information, metadata, and indexing details
Upload electronic files into designated document management systems and repositories
Perform quality checks to ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly categorized
Track progress, identify issues, and support reporting on project milestones
Partner with project teams and stakeholders to resolve missing or unclear document information
Support ongoing records management and document control activities throughout the project lifecycle
