nDescription
nJOB DESCRIPTION : Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services to individuals assigned to his/her caseload.
nMAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES :
nnnSchedule and Conduct regular appointments with clients
n
nnAble to conduct individual, family, couples, and group sessions
n
nnEstablish positive and trusting relationships with clients
n
nnImplement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client needs
n
nnAbility to accurately diagnose based on client’s symptoms
n
nnContinually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments
n
nnEducate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary
n
nnCollaborate with outside agencies, as necessary, to ensure continuity of care
n
nnRecord and maintain adequate documentation (intake forms, biopsychosocial assessment, treatment plans, progress notes, mental health inventories, etc.)
n
nnMaintain neat and organized client files and workspace
n
nnWhen required, refer clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs
n
nnMaintain the strictest confidentiality of each client
n
nnMaintain all required licenses
n
nnProvide mental health related trainings and attend community meetings as needed
n
nnParticipate in weekly supervision and staff meetings
n
nnAssist with outreach efforts
n
n nJOB REQUIREMENTS :
nEducation: Graduate Degree
nEXPERIENCE : 1 Year
nOTHER REQUIREMENTS :
nnnMinimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred
n
nnMeet all necessary state licensure requirements for NJ
n
nnExperience providing treatment to victims of domestic violence
n
nnMinimum of one-year therapy experience in an outpatient or in-home setting.
n
nnMust have experience with utilizing short-term therapy modalities.
n
nnKnowledgeable of the DSM-5
n
nnMust obtain personal liability insurance upon hiring
n
n nOTHER SKILLS
