nJob Duties: Goodwill stores handle hundreds of donations daily, and we are hiring quick-thinking, hard workers to perform light warehouse work. Donation Specialists greet donors, accept donations, and then use light machinery to move heavy loads. Donation Specialists can also expect to sort donations by type and quality. Quick decision-making is a must. Goodwill NNE also expects Donation Specialists to be able to say “no thank you” to items we cannot accept and politely explain why to each customer.

nImagine working in the "back room" of our store, where each day brings new challenges and experiences. You won't live the same day twice in this job. As a Donation Specialist, you'll receive comprehensive safety training, including the operation of pallet jacks and other essential equipment to handle donations effectively.

nIn this role, you'll:

nnnInspect, accept, track, and sort donations into the correct value stream.

n

nnProvide the best-in-class customer experience to donors, assisting them, issuing donation receipts, and ensuring every interaction is positive.

n

nnOperate power equipment to organize and store donated products efficiently.

n

n nMinimum Qualifications:

nnnA positive, friendly attitude that fosters a great work environment.

n

nnBasic mathematical and literacy skills to support your tasks.

n

nnAbility to use essential job equipment and tools.

n

nnFlexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.

n

nnSuccessful completion of a criminal background check meeting agency standards.

n

nnPhysical capability to lift and move objects, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.

n nPreferred Qualifications:

nnnPrior experience in light manufacturing, warehouse work, or donation-related tasks.

nnHigh school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent.
