Door AssemblerLocation(s): Vandalia, OH, US, 45377 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Hourly Work Arrangement: On SiteAssembler will be working on assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment. Measure, cut and assemble door units. Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Works under immediate supervision.Responsibilities:Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materialsEnsure materials meet quality expectationsPalletize, wrap, and label units as neededAssembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete unitsTests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specificationsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobVerifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOPRepeats tasks until entire door stack is completeCleans up work area when shift endsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsHas knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldStrong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door componentsEfficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, SquareRequired to stand and work for 8-10 hours per dayMay involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containersAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskRead and understand bill of materialsDue to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and coldMust be able to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch and have basic math skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilitiesRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer serviceFollow all operational and safety SOP's as writtenPerforms other miscellaneous jobs as directedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required1-2 Years in the field or related areaOur Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, & Accidental InsurancePaid Parental Leave and Adoption BenefitsPaid Holidays401(k) with Company MatchEducational Assistance ProgramAdvancement Opportunities - we promote from within the companyNearest Major Market: Dayton Nearest Secondary Market: Cincinnati
