Description
Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and create tailored treatment strategies
Deliver physical therapy interventions focused on optimizing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
Engage collaboratively with nurses, doctors, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to maximize patient outcomes
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge strategies, and exercises for home
Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility regulations and standards
Engage in interdisciplinary conferences and care team rounds to ensure cohesive patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure required for Physical Therapists
CPR certification is advantageous
Specialized certifications like neurological or geriatric are a plus but not mandatory
