Job description

Doctor Of Physical Therapy

Imagine the fulfillment of your daily work having the profound ability to help someone take their first step after a surgical procedure, reclaiming independence after experiencing a stroke, or rediscovering their voice following illness. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, you won't merely assist in healing; rather, you'll become a beacon of dignity, momentum, and hope during some of life's most challenging moments. And you'll do so in a magnificent setting that transforms the way we live, work, and rejuvenate.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our exceptional team in Louisville, Kentucky—a lively city where professional satisfaction harmonizes with a vibrant lifestyle you will cherish. In this thriving region, clinical excellence is complemented by a community that welcomes you with open arms and inspires you. If you are prepared to create a significant impact and uplift lives from the inside out, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Your role will encompass evaluating patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting personalized treatment strategies tailored to each individual's needs. You will administer physical therapy interventions that emphasize mobility, strength, balance, and overall function while collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Educating patients and their families on therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and at-home exercises will be integral to your responsibilities, along with documenting evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in alignment with facility and regulatory guidelines. Engaging in care team rounds and interdisciplinary conferences will help ensure that every patient receives the coordinated and thoughtful care they deserve.

Candidates should have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited program, as well as maintain a current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. While CPR certification is preferred, specialized certifications in fields such as neurology or geriatrics would be advantageous, though not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have previous experience, demonstrating the capability to treat patients dealing with intricate medical and mobility challenges. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside familiarity with digital charting and clinical documentation systems.

We pride ourselves on offering a competitive compensation package alongside comprehensive benefits which include health, dental, and vision insurance. Our commitment to your professional growth means we provide opportunities for continuing education and licensure reimbursement. With generous paid time off and flexible scheduling, you will enjoy a supportive team culture that encourages clinical advancement.

In this rewarding role, every day will bring unique challenges and meaningful human connections. You'll serve as a trusted partner during the crucial early stages of recovery, whether you're helping a patient regain their balance post-surgery or guiding someone through the difficult yet rewarding process of post-stroke rehabilitation. This hands-on, high-touch profession blends clinical expertise with empathy. You'll assess patient needs, enact targeted treatment protocols, and adapt care strategies as their recovery progresses. Being part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in discharge planning and facilitating safe transitions for patients back to their homes. Your role will require precision and a genuine presence, leading to unparalleled job satisfaction.

Here, your influence is immediate, and your compassionate care has the power to transform lives. We are searching for a Physical Therapist who goes beyond the resume. You are someone who realizes that movement is medicinal, that kindness holds incredible power, and that progress manifests in various forms—from standing tall to walking freely once more. We invite professionals, whether you're starting your journey or bring years of rich experience, who appreciate evidence-based care, collaboration, and authentic human connection to connect with us. This isn't merely a job; it's a calling—one where your expertise converges with purpose, making a tangible difference in people's lives.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Louisville, Kentucky, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with passionate colleagues, embrace a dynamic work culture, and explore a city that invigorates your daily experience. We are dedicated to helping you propel your career forward, enhance your skills, and rediscover the joy of meaningful work. Come join a team—and a community—that will move you to greater heights in both your profession and personal growth.
