Description
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in either inpatient or outpatient settings and craft personalized treatment strategies
Implement physical therapy modalities emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and functionality
Work closely alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and home exercise regimens
Keep meticulous records of evaluations, treatments, and progress following facility and regulatory standards
Engage in multidisciplinary care team meetings and interdisciplinary rounds to ensure effective care coordination
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution
Certifications
Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state
CPR certification is preferred
Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
Prior experience is highly desired
Aptitude for treating patients with complex medical and mobility challenges
