Job Description

Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and create tailored treatment plans

Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function

Work in tandem with nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to drive optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge procedures, and at-home exercise routines

Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress as per facility standards and governmental regulations

Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to ensure cohesive patient care

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

Mandatory state licensure as a Physical Therapist

CPR certification is preferred

Additional certifications in areas like neurology or geriatrics are welcome, but not mandatory

Skills

Prior experience is strongly preferred

Competence in managing patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
