Description
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in inpatient or outpatient settings, crafting customized treatment plans to meet their needs
Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and daily functioning
Engage with nurses, doctors, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal recovery results
Inform and support patients and families by discussing therapeutic goals, next steps in care, and home exercise programs
Maintain detailed records of evaluations, treatments, and progress in line with hospital protocols and regulations
Take part in collaborative rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure seamless patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification preferred
Specialty certifications (i.e. neurological, geriatric) are a bonus, but not mandatory
Skills
Prior experience in a clinical setting is strongly encouraged
Proficiency in treating diverse patient populations with complex clinical needs
Exceptional communication and team collaboration abilities
Comfortable utilizing digital tools for clinical documentation and charting
