Description
Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and formulate customized treatment strategies
Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Work hand-in-hand with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
Guide patients and families through therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and at-home exercise routines
Record evaluations, treatments, and progress according to facility expectations and regulatory standards
Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable qualification from a recognized institution
Certifications
State licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Additional specialized credentials (e.g., in neurology, geriatrics) are beneficial but not mandatory
Skills
Strong preference for prior experience
Ability to assist patients with complex health conditions and mobility challenges
Excellent communication and teamwork proficiency
Comfortable with digital charting and clinical record-keeping
