Description
Assess patients within either inpatient or outpatient environments and craft personalized treatment strategies
Implement physical therapy interventions to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
Engage with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to maximize patient outcomes
Inform patients and families about therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and exercise regimens for home
Thoroughly document evaluations, treatments, and progress per facility and regulatory standards
Take part in care team rounds and multidisciplinary meetings to guarantee coordinated patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification preferred
Specialty certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous, but not essential
Skills
Prior experience strongly preferred
Ability to work with patients facing intricate medical and mobility challenges
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
