Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting personalized treatment plans
Implement therapeutic interventions focused on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and various rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
Guide patients and their families on setting therapeutic goals, strategizing discharge planning, and implementing home exercise programs
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with systems and regulatory standards
Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds and conferences to promote unified patient care
Qualifications
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Licenses/Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) considered advantageous but not mandatory
Required Skills
Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred
Proven ability to treat patients with intricate medical conditions and mobility challenges
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
