In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting patient assessments in either inpatient or outpatient environments and crafting tailored treatment plans
Implementing physical therapy techniques that focus on mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Collaborating closely with nurses, doctors, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to ensure the highest quality outcomes
Educating patients and their families on treatment objectives, discharge plans, and home exercise regimens
Keeping thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress as per facility and regulatory standards
Engaging in interdisciplinary rounds and conferences to foster integrated care
To qualify, you will need:
A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited program
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Specialized certifications (e.g., for geriatric or neurological care) may be advantageous but are not mandatory.
Key skills for success include:
Prior experience as a Physical Therapist is highly preferred
A capacity to manage patients with complex medical and mobility challenges
Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
Proficiency with digital charting and clinical documentation systems
