Your Role and Responsibilities
Every day presents new opportunities, and every patient interaction is a chance to make a real difference. You will function as a guiding force during the early stages of recovery, whether that means helping a patient achieve their first steps post-surgery or navigating the complexities of rehabilitation after a stroke. This is an intimate, hands-on role where knowledge and compassion coalesce. You will evaluate patients, design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Collaborating with a diverse team of nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehab professionals will be essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also engage patients and their families in discussions about therapeutic goals, the discharge process, and vital home exercises, thereby empowering them to take command of their recovery journey. Your diligent documentation will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, and you'll participate in interdisciplinary conferences aimed at ensuring coordinated care.
Qualifications You Bring
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, with CPR certification preferred
- While specialized certifications—such as in neurological or geriatric therapy—are beneficial, they are not mandatory
- Prior experience in physical therapy is strongly preferred, alongside a talent for addressing complex medical and mobility challenges
- You possess exceptional communication skills and thrive within a collaborative team environment while being comfortable with digital health systems.
