Description
Conduct evaluations in either inpatient or outpatient environments and create personalized treatment strategies
Implement physical therapy interventions that target mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
Collaborate closely with an array of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to enhance patient outcomes
Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge preparations, and home workouts
Carefully document assessments, treatments, and progress in alignment with facility protocols and regulatory mandates
Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to assure integrated and cohesive patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist
Preferred CPR certification
Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are seen as advantageous, yet not mandatory
Skills
Preferred prior experience in the field
Ability to manage patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges
Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
Proficient in using digital charting and clinical documentation systems
