Description
Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and develop tailored treatment plans
Deliver physical therapy treatments targeting mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Collaborate with healthcare teams including nurses, physicians, and case managers to enhance patient outcomes
Guide patients and their families through therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercise routines
Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in alignment with facility and regulatory standards
Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds to ensure holistic patient care
Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or comparable degree from a recognized institution
Certifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
CPR certification is preferred
Additional certifications in specialized areas (such as neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous, though not mandatory
Skills
Experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred
Proficient in managing patients with intricate medical and mobility concerns
